Exterior
It is rare to find a nice rust free example of an early 2002, and rarer still to know that this example has spent the majority of its existence in the rust free Nevada basin.
The strut and shock towers are perfect, even the rocker panels have escaped the typical rust areas. Lower fender corners are also perfect, only the spare tire holder has been replaced.
A recent glass out re-spray has been completed in the original Verona Red Paint with several layers of clear making for a stunning example of this popular color on a 2002.
The b-pillar chrome and quarter and door seals tracks, also removed for painting, were re-installed and fitted with all new seals, including new quarter window seals, vertical seals, and door seals. The front and rear windshield seals are new and have new chrome lock-strips, also new are the trunk seal, bumper gaskets, wiper arm bushings, and the under hood seals, insulation, and drain tubes.
Additionally, the chrome drip rails are new, and all the belt line molding hardware and lower door rubber molding and rocker clips have all been replaced. Several additional new items include a new antenna, new chrome license plate lights, and a new engine label set, vin plate, and fuse box cover.

Interior
The interior has been completely re-fitted. All the seats have been re-upholstered and are extremely comfortable. A new Black 15 piece carpet kit has been installed with a new rear parcel tray.
The headliner is new and looks fantastic, and the center console is in great shape and features a new Kenwood detachable face MP3 ready CD Player with new Kenwood Speakers in the door panels (yes the holes were already there!). The dash has several small cracks typical to our desert life and has been covered in a nylon loop dash mat.
All of the retractable seat belts are intact and fully functional, and all of the knobs and controls are all in excellent working order, including the flashing red hazard switch, the windshield washer system, and even the heater blower fan still runs. The gauges all work great, though the speedometer is far from accurate.

Mechanical
The car starts instantly, and drives wonderfully. The suspension feels very smooth thanks to bilsteins on all four corners. The brakes stop straight, and the car steers effortlessly. The parking brake works and the brake system has been completely flushed and fitted with all new brake lines.
The engine has not suffered any modifications. It still runs on the original Solex single barrel carburetor with a manual choke, and even the cold weather air box and smog equipment is all still intact. It has incredible power for a one barrel, and it remains easy to power through all the gears (no grinding synchros here!).
Additionally, a set of four brand new tires have been installed to ensure more trouble free driving. Upcoming maintenance should include new brake pads in the coming months, and there is a very small hole in the rear muffler.
